LG OLED C6 and G6: what they ship with and what can come off

This is the fifth LG page on this site, and it opens like the four before it: there is nothing here to disable over ADB. The 2026 OLED C6 and G6 run webOS 26, which is not Android. No USB debugging, no sideloading, no list of packages to go through.

What you can do is in the webOS guide, and the first move is to switch off Live Plus, the content recognition that arrives enabled from the factory and that almost nobody finds by name.

The rest of this page is what can be checked against LG's own tables, and this year there is a new development that is not an improvement: the maker has stopped publishing figures.

Brightness disappears from the spec sheet#

In 2025 LG published numbers, with the measurement window alongside: 1,500 nits for the C5, 2,900 for the G5, 900 for the B5. Across the thirty-six 2026 pages I downloaded, there is not a single nit.

What is left is a multiple, on the G6: «El brillo máximo es 3,9 veces más brillante que la ventana OLED convencional del 3% según mediciones internas». Brighter than which set, it does not say. And on the C6, two disclaimers and no figure: «El brillo puede variar según el modelo, el tamaño de la pantalla y la región de mercado» and «El aumento de brillo se aplica al OLED C6 de 66/55/48 pulgadas». The «66» is LG's; that size does not exist.

The 48 Gbps went too, and we know where#

On the C5 sheet, LG answered directly: «Todos los puertos HDMI admiten el ancho de banda completo de HDMI 2.1 (48Gbps)». That sentence lived in the frequently asked questions block, and that block is gone: the C5 has seven question and answer pairs, the C6 none. With it went the only place where LG wrote the figure. In 2026 there is not one Gbps and not one mention of HDMI 2.1.

What the table does publish is the feature list: «Salida HDMI: 4 X (soporta 4K 120Hz, eARC, VRR, ALLM, QMS, QFT)». Four ports, with QFT added.

eARC finally holds still#

This is the figure that moves inside the brand and that almost nobody publishes. In 2025 it sat on HDMI 2 on the C5 and G5, but on HDMI 3 on the B5, and across the QNED range it moved for three years. In 2026 it does not move: «eARC (HDMI 2)» on all twenty-one C6, G6 and B6 pages that publish a table, from 42 to 97 inches. Since all four ports carry the same list, occupying one with the soundbar costs you nothing.

The C6 inherits the G5's processor#

This is the big improvement of the year. The C5 carried «α9 AI Processor 4K Gen8»; the C6 declares «Alpha 11 AI Processor 4K Gen3 with Dual AI Engine», the same one as the G6. There are no longer two different processors across the two ranges.

VRR rises with it, from «120Hz Nativos (VRR 144Hz)» to «120Hz Nativos (VRR 165Hz)», Wi-Fi goes from 6 to 6E, and tone mapping from «OLED Dynamic Tone Mapping Pro» to «Dynamic Tone Mapping Ultra».

And what gets worse from the C5 to the C6#

Four fields go backwards, and the first one shows up the moment you plug things in. USB drops from three to two: «USB Input: x3 (v 2.0)» on the C5 against «x2 (v 2.0)» on the C6. The G6 keeps its three.

The tuner goes from «DVB-T2/T (Terrestrial), DVB-C (Cable), DVB-S2/S (Satellite)» to «DVB-T2, DVB-C, DVB-S2», without the older variants. It is the same cut they made on the QNED range.

Picture modes drop from «10 modes» to «9 modes». And the field «Bluetooth Surround Ready: Yes (2 Way Playback)» disappears: the C5 and G5 declared it, and none of the 2026 sets carry it. On the G6, «WiSA Ready» goes as well.

What does not change: four HDMI, eARC on port 2, 40 W in 2.2 channels, 1441 x 826 x 45.1 millimetres, 16.6 kg without the stand, VESA 300 x 200, Bluetooth 5.3 and a 120 Hz panel.

On power it does win, and the G6 does something odd#

From the regulated sheet for the OLED65C64LA: class E at 84.6 W in SDR and class G at 232 W in HDR. The C5 at the same size was class F at 95.4 W. Eleven watts less and one letter better.

From the OLED65G64LW: class E at 77.4 W in SDR, better than the C6, but 262 W in HDR, thirty watts more. In 2025 it was the other way round: the G5 drew less than the C5 in both modes.

The name does not reach every screen size#

The Brightness Booster field changes value inside the same series: the 42C6 does not carry it, the 55C6 and 65C6 say only «Yes», and the 77C6 and 83C6 rise to «Brightness Booster Pro».

On the G6 the gap is wider. The 55, 65 and 83 declare «Brightness Booster Ultra» and «Reflection Free Premium». The 48 and the 97 do not. LG's own small print says so: «Esta certificación aplica a las series G y W de OLED, excepto al modelo de 97 y 48 pulgadas».

The 97 also stays at «120Hz Nativos (VRR 120Hz)» against the 165 of the rest, and at class F with 184 W. The 48 warns of something that came included on the G5: «El soporte a pared se adquiere por separado».

And one figure that only appears on the regulated sheet: automatic brightness control is «Automatic Brightness Control (ABC) available: NO» on the 42C6, the 48C6 and the 48G6, and «YES» on the rest.

Two energy classes for the same television#

This comes out of the European EPREL register and no table publishes it: the suffix of the code changes the declared consumption within the same screen size.

The 65-inch C6 is class E at 84.6 W if the code ends in C62LA, C64LA, C65LA or C67LA, and class F at 93.6 W if it ends in C66LA, C66LB, C69LB or C6ELB. At 55 inches the spread runs from F at 75.6 W to G at 81.9 W.

It matters because the code sold in Spanish shops is usually the C6ELB, and its web table is identical to the C64LA one. On the G6 it does not happen: all nine 65-inch codes declare E and 77.4 W.

HDR: still no HDR10+#

«HDR (High Dynamic Range): Dolby Vision / HDR10 / HLG», the same on the C6, the G6 and the B6. Five LG pages and not one range with HDR10+. If your library on disk leans on that format, that content falls back to plain HDR10.

How long they will keep updating it#

The British sheet gains a year over 2025: «The security update is supported until: 31/12/2030» on the 42C6, the 55C6, the 48G6, the 55G6 and the 65G6. With two holes: the 65C6 page does not carry that field, and the 83C6 one says «Definable Spec Only in LG.COM», the same unfilled blank that turned up on the 100QNED87B6.

The regulated sheet keeps its 8 years of software and firmware updates, spare parts and support from the end of marketing, and the webOS programme keeps its «4 versiones siguientes de actualización en 5 años». The 2025 warning about the «perdida de determinadas características» appears on none of the 2026 pages; a softer one replaces it: «Las actualizaciones del sistema operativo no incluyen características y funciones que dependan de hardware más reciente».

And an internal contradiction: the same C6 page promises a smart TV that stays new «hasta el 2030» in one place and «hasta el 2031» in another. The G6 page says 2031 in both.

The microphone is not in the television#

From the regulated sheet, on all fourteen models downloaded: «Voice recognition sensor available: No» and «Room presence sensor available: No». The microphone lives in the remote, the «AI Magic Remote MR26GA / MR26GB».

What can actually come off#

In order of payoff: Live Plus, the personalised ads and recommendations, and the apps webOS lets you uninstall. The step by step is in the webOS guide.

As on the 2026 QNED sets, voice search is no longer LG's alone: the page announces «Google Gemini y Microsoft Copilot». What you say to the remote can end up at two more companies.

What this page could not settle#

LG still does not publish RAM or internal storage, and this year it publishes no nits and no Gbps either. The Spanish pages for the 42C6, 55C6, 77C6, 83C6, 65G6 and 83G6 answer 200, carry a title and publish no spec table; the British ones for those models do.

And one detail: the OLED65G64LW is the wall-mount version and the OLED65G66LS the one with a stand, but LG copies the stand measurements into the wall-mount table. All that separates them there is the packaging, 30.5 kg against 34.1.
