For anyone willing to pay the hosting

Sponsoring a site that says no

This is kept by one person. Hosting, the domain and the mail cost money, and the hours spent cataloguing televisions model by model cost rather more. If your company would like this to carry on, here is what there is and what there is not.

What a sponsor gets

  • Name and link in the footer of every page on the site, in all six languages.
  • An entry of your own on this page, with a line about what you do.
  • A mention at the top of any article you sponsor, marked as sponsorship.
  • Knowing the site is still standing and the information is still free to whoever needs it.

What money does not buy here

  • A directory entry saying anything other than what we verified. If a package is dangerous to remove, it will keep saying so even if you make the set.
  • An article that looks editorial and is advertising. Sponsored is marked sponsored, at the top, in plain sight.
  • The subscriber data. It is not sold, not rented and not shared in aggregate.
  • Affiliate links dressed up as a recommendation. Links that pay a commission are marked.
