What it is

Open Mobile API ("interface") to access UICC secure elements.

UICC stands for Universal Integrated Circuit Card.

It is the physical and logical platform for the USIM and may contain additional USIMs and other applications.

(U)SIM is an application on the UICC.

Note: The term SIM is widely used in the industry and especially with consumers to mean both SIMs and UICCs.

Commands

adb shell pm uninstall --user 0 org.simalliance.openmobileapi.uicc2terminal

To put it back:

adb shell cmd package install-existing org.simalliance.openmobileapi.uicc2terminal

Every removal listed here is per-user only: the system image is untouched, and the restore command puts the app back from the copy already on the device. Nothing is downloaded.
