What it is

omacp = OMA Client Provisioning. It is a protocol specified by the Open Mobile Alliance (OMA).

Configuration messages parser. Used for provisioning APN settings to Samsung devices via SMS

In my case, it was automatic and I never needed configuration messages.

Maybe it's useful if carriers change their APN. But you still can change the config manually, it's not difficult.

Keep in mind these special types of SMS can be abused (though you would need to select to apply the APN in the popup).

Commands

adb shell pm uninstall --user 0 com.wsomacp

To put it back:

adb shell cmd package install-existing com.wsomacp

Every removal listed here is per-user only: the system image is untouched, and the restore command puts the app back from the copy already on the device. Nothing is downloaded.

This is not the directory. Here we say what a package is in general; what happens on your particular television is on your model's entry, and that one wins. The same package can be dead weight on one set and hold the home screen up on another.
