WAPI Certificates Manager

WAPI = WLAN Authentication Privacy Infrastructure (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WLAN_Authentication_and_Privacy_Infrastructure

It was designed to replace WEP and become the new Standard but it was't rejected by the ISO (International Organization for Standardization)

It is currently only used in China

This app most likely manage certificates (they are used to make sure you're not connecting to a rogue Access Point)

Note: If you live in China, you most likely want to keep it.

Commands

adb shell pm uninstall --user 0 com.wapi.wapicertmanager

To put it back:

adb shell cmd package install-existing com.wapi.wapicertmanager

Every removal listed here is per-user only: the system image is untouched, and the restore command puts the app back from the copy already on the device. Nothing is downloaded.

This is not the directory. Here we say what a package is in general; what happens on your particular television is on your model's entry, and that one wins. The same package can be dead weight on one set and hold the home screen up on another.
