What it is
Provides periodic reports on the geographical location of the device. Each provider has a set of criteria under which it may be used. For example, some providers require GPS hardware and visibility to a number of satellites, while others require the use of the cellular radio, or access to a specific carrier's network, or to the internet.
I don't understand why this is needed; there already is one in 'com.google.android.gms'

I suggest testing if you get a better signal/battery performance with Mediatek NLP on or off.
Commands
adb shell pm uninstall --user 0 com.mediatek.nlpservice
To put it back:
adb shell cmd package install-existing com.mediatek.nlpservice
Every removal listed here is per-user only: the system image is untouched, and the restore command puts the app back from the copy already on the device. Nothing is downloaded.
This is not the directory. Here we say what a package is in general; what happens on your particular television is on your model's entry, and that one wins. The same package can be dead weight on one set and hold the home screen up on another.
