What it is

Mobile Device Management (MDM) allows company’s IT department to reach inside your phone in the background, allowing them to ensure your device is secure, know where it is, and remotely erase your data if the phone is stolen.

It's a way to ensure employees stay productive and do not breach corporate policies

You should NEVER have a MDM tool on your personal phone. Never.

This package probably isn't a MDM tool on its own but you definitively don't need it on your phone.

To put it back:

adb shell cmd package install-existing com.mediatek.mdmconfig

Every removal listed here is per-user only: the system image is untouched, and the restore command puts the app back from the copy already on the device. Nothing is downloaded.

This is not the directory. Here we say what a package is in general; what happens on your particular television is on your model's entry, and that one wins. The same package can be dead weight on one set and hold the home screen up on another.
