Occasionally runs in the background, not to mention how it tracks everything.

Careful: Removing the app may break creating and storing passkeys on your phone, so keep this enabled if you want to use that form of authentication. Google Play Services can also provide this functionality on some devices. When Chrome is updated via the Play Store, the Trichrome Library is also updated automatically. If Chrome is disabled or removed, it may impact WebView functionality. This is because Chrome, WebView, and the Trichrome Library work together as a bundle starting from Android 10 (API 29) and above.

Commands

adb shell pm uninstall --user 0 com.android.chrome

To put it back:

adb shell cmd package install-existing com.android.chrome

Every removal listed here is per-user only: the system image is untouched, and the restore command puts the app back from the copy already on the device. Nothing is downloaded.

This is not the directory. Here we say what a package is in general; what happens on your particular television is on your model's entry, and that one wins. The same package can be dead weight on one set and hold the home screen up on another.
