What it is

(AKA System Update) FOTA = Firmware Over-the-air. Has a history of spying its users. If the installed version is below 5.4.x, it must be uninstalled.

Commands

adb shell pm uninstall --user 0 com.adups.fota

To put it back:

adb shell cmd package install-existing com.adups.fota

Every removal listed here is per-user only: the system image is untouched, and the restore command puts the app back from the copy already on the device. Nothing is downloaded.
